Graham
Hill, Joint Secretary WKC, writes:
‘It is with sadness I have to advise that Mr Trevor
M Evans, Chairman of the Welsh Kennel Club, passed away
in the early morning of Wednesday 17 December 2003.
‘Mr Evans suffered a heart attack during the night
following the Welsh Kennel Club Top Dog and Top Puppy Competition
on 29 November 2003. Following a period in intensive care
at Neville Hall Hospital, Abergavenny, he had improved and
was moved to Builth Wells Cottage Hospital to be nearer
his home and to convalesce. Howev er his condition deteriorated
and he died in the early hours of Wednesday morning. Trevor
was a fanatical Terrier man with a special affection for
the Cairn. He had been a committee member of the WKC for
some 30 years and had served as Chairman for 15 years following
on from Mr Leslie Thomas. He was a retired solicitor and
local area Coronor.
‘His legal mind, common sense and good humour will
be sadly missed by all, but by the Welsh Kennel Club in
particular’.
