Coat tests prove negative

Random coat testing for lacquer and chalk was carried out on Samoyeds, Best of Breed (Dog) and Reserve Best of Breed (Dog), at the Ladies’ Kennel Association Championship Show on 14 December 2002. The results of the testing showed no trace of lacquer or chalk in either exhibit tested.

Any other substance (other than water) which may be used in the preparation of a dog for exhibition must not be allowed to remain in the coat or on any other part of the dog at the time of exhibition.
