Petplan is holding its Annual Veterinary Awards in April 2003
at the British Small Animal Veterinary Association Congress
in Birmingham.
So why not start the New Year with your own resolution, to
show your appreciation to a vet, nurse, receptionist or practice
by nominating them for a prestigious Petplan Veterinary Award.
In previous years they have heard some touching stories from
the public about how their local practice or its staff have
helped them and their pet through hard times. And we would
like the same again. Perhaps they have gone above and beyond
the call of duty to save a kittens life, operated through
the night on a dog or even saved a horse in courageous
circumstances. Or they might simply have shown warmth and
kindness to a child who has brought their sick rabbit to the
surgery.
Whatever the reason, this is your chance to show your appreciation
for their hard work and the care they provide to your animal.
They want to hear from you, your nominations matter. For them
to be able to judge the best vet, nurse, receptionist or practice
in the country, they need to know your story.
For every nomination Petplan receives, £1 will be donated
to Petsavers, the charity of the veterinary profession that
helps to fund studies into illnesses and injuries that commonly
affect our pets.
Nick Poole, Commercial Director for Petplan, highlighted the
importance of getting involved, The Petplan Veterinary
Awards enable us to give something back to the veterinary
profession. And because the competition is nationwide, any
veterinary staff can win, no matter how large or small their
practice.
He concluded, These prestigious awards are now widely
recognised as the Oscars of the veterinary world.
The closing date for nominations is 14 February 2003 so you
havent got long to get your nomination forms back to
