Breed’s first FT champion


Breed history was made last week when the first Field Trial Champion German Longhaired Pointer gained its crown, writes Di Arrowsmith.

At the Dukeries (Notts) Gundog Club's Open Stake for the breeds that hunt, point and retrieve, and under judges Graham Nixon and Godfrey Card, Mr & Mrs. R N Gould's German Longhaired Pointer dog Wamilanghaar Drumelzier (Jack) handled by Mrs Theo Gould was awarded the coveted first prize.

This his second such award, the first being last season at the German Wirehaired Pointer Club’s Open Stake at Snelston under judges Godfrey Card and John Tindell.
