Labradors celebrate in style!
This weekend the labrador Retriever club celebrates 100 years of breed recognition with two back to back shows at Belvoir Castle.
An open show on Saturday has attracted over 450 dogs with a breed championship show on the Sunday featuring an entry of 550.
Over the weekend there will also be an Inter-club Working Test, a Novice Working Test, Scurry, Parade of 94 Champions and a discussion ‘Is the Breed Standard relevant to today’s Labrador?
There will also be a Gundog Training and Advice Clinic with practical help and advice from Terry Bailey. The club has got principal sponsorship from Andrex, James Wellbeloved and Vetplus Ltd.
A champagne reception and hog roast is planned for the Saturday evening.
