Local charities to benefit from companion dog show


LOCAL RESIDENTS are hoping to raise much needed funds for the Blue Cross adoption centre in Tiverton by holding a companion dog show and car boot sale on Sunday 22 June from 11am at Beers Meadow, Cadbury, Devon.

Organised by a committee of local residents, funds raised will help the charity continue fulfilling its unique role in the local community. Other charities set to benefit from the event are the Devon Air Ambulance and Cadbury Church Fund.

The dog show has 14 classes including a novelty section for non-pedigree dogs. These classes include best waggy tail, most handsome male and best veteran. Exhibitors can register from 11am fora small fee of 75p per class and judging begins at 12.30.

The event will also feature a car boot sale with a variety of refreshment stands available when visitors need a break from te bargain hunting. Stall holders can set up from 11 am with pitch charges ranging from £3 for a car and £5 for a van/trailer.
