Take the route of conquerors in aid of Blue Cross

THIS SEPTEMBER, the Blue Cross animal charity will be inviting animal loving explorers to join a Mexican adventure while raising much needed funds to help the Blue Cross continue fulfilling its role helping sick and abandoned animals.

The fully escorted trip begins among Aztec ruins in the shadow of the snow-capped Pico de Orizaba mountain and gives walkers a unique opportunity to trek through tropical rainforests and untouched villages.

Passing through the colonial city of Coatapec and on to the village of Xocilapa, the ten day trek continues by foot and raft along ancient trails and white water rapids.

The Blue Cross is one of Britain’s oldest animal welfare charities and relies entirely on donations to maintain its adoption centres and animal hospitals. To take part in the Aztec adventure, each participant will need to sign up with a £345 registration fee and raise minimum sponsorship of £2,500. Fundraisers can request further information from The Blue Cross on 01993 825502.
