THE CLOSING date for this year’s West of England Ladies’
Kennel Society’s Championship Show is March 12th and is fast
approaching. The Secretary writes she hopes entering for the former
will not be forgotten by too many of those in attendance at the
latter.
The WELKS will be held on 25, 26 and 27 April at the lovely Three
Counties Showground at Malvern, where there is so much space available
for big rings if the weather is kind and very generous indoor
accommodation if not.
Fees this year have risen slightly to £19.50 for CC breeds
and £15.50 for non CC breeds with subsequent entries and
catalogues at £3 each. Free parking closest to the benching
areas for breeds is now automatic.
Due to some minor changes to the layout there is to be an additional
area made available for tradestands and therefore there will be
enhanced opportunities for shopping at the show, something that
exhibitors have been requesting for a long time.
An additional innovations this year is the opportunity for exhibitors
to enter on line at www.fossedata.net This service is provided
by the printers, Fosse Data Ltd, and there is an additional charge
of 50p per exhibitor but the entry is checked as it is processed
so errors are avoided and it offers the option to pay by credit
card too. Schedules can be downloaded from www.fossedata.net and
are available from the Secretary Mrs Sheila Jakeman, Lyneham Lake,

you do not telephone until mid morning to allow Mrs Jakeman time
to care for her own dogs, but she does not object to calls during
the evening. |
