Obituary
Milred Seiffert
I was sorry to learn from Joan Wells Meacham that Mildred Seiffert
died last Friday peacefully. She had been in a nursing home
for some time.
Mildred and Joan were of course the original two ladies who
imported the PBGV into the UK and their joint affix Jomil is
behind all the famous lines of Petits in this country and many
Jomil dogs were exported to Europe and USA and were the foundation
of many kennels. Per Knudsen from the famous Morebess Kennels
imported Jomil Hotspur to Denmark and it was this dog who formed
the original Morebess Petits who have enjoyed success in the
show ring for many years.
I myself was the proud owner of Ch Jomil Zadok jointly with
Nick Frost and many of you I am sure will know what a great
influencial stud dog he was in the breed here and abroad.
Mildred judged Crufts at the last show at Earls Court and awarded
BOB to Ch/Dan/Lux Ch Salto de Crislaure of Morebess from Veteran
Class.
