Safety first with the NGA at Birmingham

The National Gundog Association has organised a ‘Health and Safety Awareness Day’ principally for General and Group Championship Show Societies, to take place on Friday 14th November 2003, at the NEC, Birmingham.

The day will cover fire safety and relevant legislation, managing health and safety in the dog show environment, risk assessment, accident investigation and reporting, the role of the local authority Enforcing Officer, ensuring you have the right insurance cover and a legal perspective on health and safety issues. Those attending will have the opportunity to have their health and safety matters discussed by the team of experts.

The number of participants is limited, but there may be one or two places available to representatives of Breed societies who organise Championship Shows. The cost of the seminar including lunch is £25 per person.

Senior representatives from the Kennel Club, the Field Officer section, general and group Championship show societies have given very good support so far.

The whole event is sponsored by Fosse Data Systems Ltd “Supporting Education in the world of dogs’.

If you are interested in attending please make representation to the Hon Sec of the National Gundog Association, Chris Bexon, on 01773 812326 as soon as possible.
