Ziggy died after a short illness 26/08/03, just short of his fifteenth birthday. Bred by Renee and Diane Smith he was owned in partnership by Diane and Rick and Doris Clark. He was the family pet of the Clark household but was handled throughout his career by Diane.
Ziggy collected first CC at ten & half months from Jackie Kitchener and completed his title by fifteen months. Became Top Utility in 1992 winning groups and Res BIS at WKC and Manchester. Groups at Bournemouth and Midland Counties. Plus 3 Res Groups Five time BIS at Breed Club Ch Shows.
Eventually won 38 CCs (from different judges) 30 with BOB plus 19 Res CCs BOB at Crufts 1992 & 93.
Gained his Irish title 1993 following a campaign where he was unbeaten in the breed. Top Stud Dog 1992 & 1995 and Top Sire 2000.
Sire of six English and three overseas Champions plus Grand Sire of a further six champions and countless great grand children with titles and CCs.
He was certainly a well known character in the early 90s and had great influence on the breed for he features in the pedigree of many of todays winners.
