Richmond support for group judges’ training

Richmond Dog Show Society’s support for the utility group judges’ development seminar has already been confirmed but we hear that there are still a few places for next month’s event, one of several that the KC has encouraged to overcome the dearth of group judges.

The dates are Tuesday and Wednesday November 18/19th. with all sizes of poodles the subject of the intensive lectures on the first day followed by Tibetan Spaniels and Bulldogs on the second day.

As with the previous ‘fast track’ group judges’ seminars it is due to held at the Canine Academy at Tollerton, near Nottingham which over the next few weeks is hosting similar seminars for the gundog breeds.

To attend these seminars a judge must have previously awarded challenge certificates to at least three breeds in the Utility Group or have been approved to judge another Group at Championship shows and have previously awarded challenge certificates to at least two breed(s) in the Utility Group.

At the request of the Kennel Club, the Richmond Dog Show Society kindly agreed last June to host and organise a series of Group Judges’ Development Seminars specifically for the Utility Group.
