STEPHEN JEFFERY, secretary of the Pet Care Trust, has announced his intention to leave the post at the end of the year.

Mr Jeffrey will step down after just 20 months for personal reasons.

The Trust’s board has expressed its regret at his proposed departure and its appreciation of Mr Jeffery’s efforts.
