The Newfoundland Dogs of Newfound Friends raised £9,890 recently with their sponsored rescues at Bewl Water reservoir in Kent. The money raised going to The Children’s Hospice South West, Make a Wish Foundation, The Chernobyl Link and Hearing Dogs for the Deaf.

The dogs performed over 60 rescues during the course of the day and received much well-earned praise for their efforts.

Newfound Friends has launched a £100,000 appeal to raise money for a new children’s hospice in the Bristol area. The new hospice at Charlton Farm is expected to cost £13 million and Newfound Friends are determined to play their part in the quest to support terminally ill children. The dogs have been associated with the Childrens Hospice South West for well over 10 years.
