CAB calls creditors’ meeting

The Cat Association of Britain (CAB) has called a creditors’ meeting and an extraordinary general meeting which is being conducted by ‘recovery and reorganisation’ specialists Grant Thornton of Bristol.

Set up in February 1983 as an alternative to the 93 year old Governing Council of the Cat Fancy (GCCF), it sought to offer an alternative registry for cat owners and it also licensed its own shows which attracted poor entries. It also worked closely with, and was affiliated to, FIFe - the international federation of the fancy.

Last year the GCCF registered over 28,000 pedigree cats.
