New York, NY -- The American Kennel Club is pleased to announce the promotion of Bobby Birdsong to Director of Event Operations.
Birdsong brings a tremendous amount of experience in operations management and the sport of purebred dogs to his new position. Birdsong, who has been employed at the American Kennel Club since 1995, has over thirty years experience in the sport as a breeder, trainer and professional handler.
Prior to this position, Birdsong was the Manager of Show Events: Conformation Rules & Policies. He produced the well received January 2003 Show/Trial Manual and was a major contributor at AKC’s popular Show Chair’s Seminars.
“We are confident that Bobby will continue to meet the needs of the AKC customers in this new position,” said Robin Stansell, Assistant Vice President Event Operations. “His leadership and managerial skills, coupled with his strong background in the sport, make him well suited for the position and an asset to the AKC.”
