Valleyrise Heaven Sent To Kylecroft - ‘Kyla’ 1/4/93 - 23/3/04

Kyla began her show career in 1993, and at eight months of age was Best Imported Breeds Register Puppy at LKA under Terry Thorn, where he predicted a bright future for her. The following year she was the top winning Kooikerhondje Bitch and from then on there was no stopping her, as she competed in Championship Shows all over the country.Top Kooiker 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000; Top Imported Register Gundog 1996, 1997, 1998; Top Imported Register ALL BREEDS 1996 and 1998

Her last outing to a show was Crufts 2004 where she spent time at Discover Dogs persuading as many people as possible to give her food!

Kyla had one litter which contained four Championship Show first prize winners - the most successful is her son Kylecroft Countryman owned in partnership with Sheila Rees. This year he collected his award at Crufts for Top Kooiker 2003. Kyla was a great ambassador for the breed in and out of the ring. She was my special friend and ‘dog in a lifetime’.
