Major fundraiser launched at Supa Dog Agility Week

HUNDREDS of agility enthusiasts have answered calls to support a major fundraising initiative for Macmillan Cancer Relief. Throughout 2004 Burgess Supa Dog is supporting Macmillan Cancer Relief with a great initiative – the Supa Dog Get Fit Challenge.

The Supa Dog Agility week takes place at Hop Farm Country Park, Beltring, Paddock Wood, Kent from May 29 to June 4, and agility fans have agreed to complete a five mile walk on the Tuesday afternoon, of the event, to help raise money. Local dog walkers are also being encouraged to take part in this fun event, and can go along on the day to join in.

Believed to be on the largest dog walking exercises in the region to ever be organised, the event is set to be great fun, while helping a very worthwhile cause. Supa Dog Agility Week organiser Linda Croxford said: "We are delighted to be holding the walk in aid of Macmillan Cancer Relief as part of our week long activity.

"Everyone is welcome to come along on the Tuesday, or throughout the week to watch the agility competitions, which attract more than 20,000 entries over the seven days."

The Supa Dog Get Fit Challenge is a sponsored Walking for Fun activity that will help owners, their families and dogs get fit whilst raising funds for Macmillan Cancer Relief.

Get sponsorship and then walk your dog for as many miles as you can, on your own or with friends and family. Why not organise an event if you feel challenged? All the money raised from the challenge will help Macmillan Cancer Relief provide the expert care and practical and emotional support which is changing the lives of people living with cancer today.

Burgess Supa Dog® hopes to help improve the nations fitness in this easy to take part in challenge which will also increase the awareness of the health benefits of owning a dog.

Everyone who owns a dog or has a friend or colleague with a dog can help. However small your donation, the team at Burgess Supa Dog wants to encourage everyone to walk their dog more and get fit, while raising money for one of the most important Charities in Britain.
