On April 8th the former secretary of the Pointer Club Mr Tony Powell was arrested and charged with theft offences.

The offences took placed between 1st December 1990 and 31st. January 2004. These totally £18,145.98p. he was also charged with four counts of false accounting interspersing those years and with a further nine counts being ‘taken into consideration.’

He was bailed to appear at Harrogate Magistrates’ Court yesterday Thursday 15th April 2004. A statement is expected from the club in time for next week’s issue.
