US terrier expert to judge
International Terrier Championship final

The Countryside Alliance's International Terrier Championship final, to be held at Chatsworth Country Fair on Sunday 5th September 2004, is to be judged by American terrier expert Linda Cowasiee.

Linda, a well-respected judge from Virginia, USA, has been involved with terriers for over 30 years. She has a degree from Cornell University in Animal Genetics, and breeding is therefore of special interest to her.

Linda hunts regularly with the Piedmont Foxhounds, working her terriers to Raccoon and Red and Grey Fox. The Piedmont Foxhounds are one of the oldest and most famous packs in America. In addition to her terriers, Linda also breeds Irish sports horses and purebred Irish draughts for hunting, eventing and show jumping.

The rules for 2004 competition have been changed. This year the Champion and Reserve Champion from each Qualifying Show will be invited to take part in the final competition at Chatsworth Country Fair.
