Humberside teach-in

The Humberside Hound Association is to hold a Teach-In and Social Evening on Wednesday 12 May at the Ferrybridge Community Centre - just off the A1 on the B6136.

This is an opportunity to learn about other breeds in a very relaxed and informal atmosphere. Three breeds are scheduled, the Segugio (which is on the Import Register) the Afghan Hound and the Basenji. The speakers (all very experienced in their breed) will discuss and demonstrate each breed using their own dogs a models. The evening is not intended to be an intensive learning experience - more of a ‘taster’ to introduce the breeds to those who would like to know a little more about them. Questions are invited from the audience. There will be ‘no hands on’ and the evening will not lead to a judging qualification. However, attendance is recognised by the Kennel Club as ‘showing an interest’ in the breed and they "..still consider such seminars to be of utmost importance as an educational event." - certificates of attendance will be given. Admission - inclusive of light supper - is a modest £2.50. Everyone is welcome and there is no need to pre-book. Further details, if required, can be obtained from Mr or Mrs Wells phone 01964 542744.
