Next wednesday September 1st., the former Secretary of the Pointer Club Mr Anthony Powell (Hayapark) of Knaresborough, North Yorkshire is to appear at York Crown Court to face theft charges.

He had been originally due to appear at York Crown Court in June after being arrested on April 8th charged with theft offences. The offences took placed between 1st December 1990 and 31st. January 2004. These totalled £18,145.98p. he was also charged with four counts of false accounting interspersing those years and with a further nine counts being ‘taken into consideration.’ His wife, who was the club treasurer, resigned before the club’s AGM in may of this year.
