Two
dogs stolen in Warwickshire
TWO DOGS went missing from their owners field in Warwickshire in broad daylight. It now appears that they have been stolen, along with a number of other dogs in the locality, victims of an organised dog stealing ring. Mrs Andy Hawkes told OUR DOGS that her two dogs were out in fields on her own land at Rowington, Warwickshire on Sunday January 18th and then mysteriously disappeared. The dogs, a Spaniel /Lurcher cross bitch and a cocker spaniel dog were nowhere to be found, after Mrs Hawkes and her neighbours searched far and wide some on horseback until 11pm at night. "Ive since discovered that neighbours had her working labrador stolen from a compound by their house a couple of weeks ago," said Mrs Hawkes. "And a Scottie was stolen nearby just before Christmas. Were convinced its the work of an organised gang. Obviously were very anxious and want them back. Weve leafleted, put posters up, been to the local media and informed the police, who are certain that it is an organised gang at work. "We are offering a rewards for the dogs safe return and I will treat all calls in the strictest of confidence." The missing dogs: Penny, a three and a half year old Splurcher (Spaniel/Lurcher cross) who resembles a black Lurcher, with a white chest, paws and bib, with slight greying. She is microchipped. Topper is a three year-old chocolate brown working cocker spaniel with a docked tail. He is not microchipped but was wearing a collar and name tag.
