Due to circumstances beyond our control, the printing of the Spring edition of ARGOS has been delayed. Our apologies to members who would normally expect this before Crufts.

PRO Dogs will be at Crufts, as usual on Stand 12, Hall 4 – all members and friends will be very welcome to visit us there. Information from other dog-friendly organisations will be on display, and at least one "take-away-and-complete" quiz will be a major fundraising success this year.

UKDOG, launched at Crufts 2003 is continuing to function well. The joint venture with the Kennel Club attracted 277 completed questionnaires, but at a recent meeting at the Kennel Club it was decided that the original concept of setting up several small groups of UKDOG activists throughout the country, based on the NFDOG group was unrealistic, and that the best way forward was to offer help, on an individual basis, to respondents who had identified problems in their areas and it was hoped that the joint support of PRO Dogs and the Kennel Club would lend weight to any local campaigns.

PRO Dogs will, as usual, be holding its breed stakes classes and obedience Test C and Special Beginners stakes classes over the summer. We are indebted to the Horley and District CS [22 February] for holding a Special Charity Class (AV Open) at their show. PRO Dogs will benefit from entry fees.

On the same day, at the event, will be a Companion Dog Show which will include 7 Pedigree as well as 2 Handling and 11 Novelty classes; PRO Dogs will benefit jointly with HDCS from the entry fees (Pedigree classes £1.50, Handling and Novelty classes £1.00; 3 entries on the day of the show). KC Rules will apply. This is in addition to the PRO Dogs Breed Stakes held at this show.
