Border Union changes

Border Union AS championship show has a new Chairman, Mr W Hunter, as Mrs Marie McFarlane decided to retire as Chairman after ten years in the position. Marie remains on the Committee.

Their Vice-Chairman, Mr Jimmy Macgregor, and Mr Joe Macaulay, ex Assistant Show Manager, two of the original members of Border Union, have also retired from the Committee.

The new Vice-Chairman is Mr D McKay who is also the Chief Steward. Another long serving member of the Committee, Mrs Betty Moore has also retired.

Kennel Club chairman Mr W Ronnie Irving has decided that there could be a conflict of interests between his position at the Kennel Club and President of Border Union and has decided to relinquish the Presidency of the society.
