Dogs
Trust launches the first ever “We Are Dog Friendly”
Awards
Dogs Trust is calling on the nation’s dog lovers to
recommend venues which are “top dog” when it
comes to catering for our four-legged friends.
From 1st March 2004, customers of pubs, bars, hotels, B&Bs,
guest houses and tourist attractions will be able to nominate
their favourite dog-friendly places in the first ever “We
Are Dog Friendly” Awards.
Dogs Trust Chief Executive, Clarissa Baldwin, comments:
“The “We Are Dog Friendly” Awards provide
a great opportunity for dog lovers to tell each other about
dog-friendly venues across the UK. It also encourages the
venues to look at the way they accommodate our canine chums.
“Recommendations will be included on the “We
Are Dog Friendly” venue search page on the Dogs Trust
website. So, if you know of a great venue where your dog
is given royal treatment, visit www.dogstrust.org.uk and
tell us about it!”
Dog lovers can nominate venues in three categories: We Are
Dog Friendly Bars and Pubs, We Are Dog Friendly Hotels,
B&Bs and Guest Houses and We Are Dog Friendly Tourist
Attractions and Days Out via the Dogs Trust website www.dogstrust.org.uk
or via the Spring edition of Wag! – the Dogs Trust
supporter magazine from 1st March 2004.
The UK’s dog friendliest venues will be announced
in May 2004 with all recommended venues receiving a special
Dogs Trust “We Are Dog Friendly” sticker. Recommendations
will then be included on the Dogs Trust website where supporters
can search for dog friendly venues recommended by dog lovers
for dog lovers.
