The Kennel Club would like to thank all dog owners who have returned the completed health questionnaires distributed by Breed Clubs. In total over 14,000 questionnaires have now been received.

The overall response rate will be calculated once we hear back from the remaining breed club secretaries about the exact number of questionnaires that were actually sent out to their members. At this stage, we estimate that the overall response rate will be in the region of 26%.

Data entry has started with just over 2,000 forms already scanned and verified. It is estimated that it will take approximately four months for all the forms to be entered into the database. Once this has been completed analysis of the collected data can begin.

All breed clubs will receive detailed feedback on the results of this survey once they are available.
