Cheeky venture to benefit the Afghan Hound Rescue

This month sees the launch of a bold and cheeky venture to benefit the Afghan Hound Rescue in the shape of a 2005 calendar with tasteful photographs by David Paton of men from the world of Afghans! Taking a leaf out of the calendar girls book the images are shot not only to portray the ‘boys’ in the best possible taste but also the Afghan Hound breed.

Eight of the thirteen brave men and true are championship show judges and three are Kennel Club members. David Paton himself, former secretary of the Afghan Hound Association and a past chairman of the Afghan Hound Breed Council, is portrayed as Mr March! Six of the dogs in the calendar are champions, two of which were BOB at Crufts in 2003 and 2001.

The calendar has been kindly sponsored by James Wellbeloved Foods. Shirley Carr from the rescue commented, ‘The aim is to raise money for the Afghan Hound Rescue to help with such things as rehoming costs and vets’ bills. It has been tastfully done and with an add dash of humour!’

Copies of the calendar priced at £10 will be available later this month from Shirley Carr tel. 01249-813447 e-mail bozwood@carr.prestel.co.uk
