RICHMOND news comes via e-mail from secretary Adrian Perry-Coxall.
As this is a new venue, Richmond strongly recommends that exhibitors allow extra time for their journeys. To ease any potential traffic congestion, it is planned to start about half the rings at 9am and the rest at 10am (JHA will in any event start at 9am); details of the 9am starts will be published in the dog press and sent with exhibitor passes, so do check your times before the show. A comprehensive map with instructions will also be included with passes.
The nearest railway station is Farncombe (about 1 mile from the venue); and for those of you who want to find out more about the area surrounding Loseley Park, the Guildford Tourist Board have changed their telephone number to 01483-444333.
Also, there are a couple of overseas judges, which I didn’t spot in the schedule: Frau Wilfriede Schwerm-Hahne from Germany, a sighthound specialist, will be doing Ibizan Hounds, Salukis and Sloughis; and Mr Steve Eltinge (Camino) from the USA, Staffords.
Entries close on Monday July 19, so you still have plenty of time to pick up a schedule from the OUR DOGS stand at one of the forthcoming shows; alternatively you can phone Adrian on 020 8647 1787, fax 020 8773 8109, or e-mail him at email@example.com
