Charity Ball raises over £19,000 for Canine Partners

A Ball organised by Canine Partners, held on HMS Warrior 1860 in Portsmouth, raised over £19,000 for the charity. Two hundred people, including Meridian Tonight celebrity Fred Dineage, attended the ball on behalf of Canine Partners.

Canine Partners is a progressive charity, which aims to transform the lives of people with disabilities enabling them to lead more independent lives, by providing them with highly trained assistance dogs. Their dogs assist their partners with numerous practical tasks such as shopping and dressing; and the relationship that develops between the dog and their partner creates tremendous emotional benefits.

Karen O’Donoghue of Canine Partners comments, “The ball was a great success and we are pleased with the amount raised from a combination of ticket sales, raffle tickets and the silent auction. These kind of events are an ideal platform for us to raise awareness of the work Canine Partners does to both individuals and businesses that attend such as chartered accountants Casson Beckman, Seward Fiat and web designers Alchemy Digital.”
