More sporting dogs from Christies

Hot on the heels of Christie's King Street Sporting Sale, it is now the turn of Christie's South Kensington saleroom to hold its own Sporting Art and Dogs genre sale on June 10th., writes Paul Keevil.

Whereas King Street concentrates in the upper end of the market, achieving a world record for a John Emms painting in May at £397,250, the South Kensington sale has items with estimates starting from just a few hundred pounds. Viewing will take place on the days leading up to the sale and printed catalogues are available from the Auctioneers. The auctioneers may be contacted thus: Christie's South Kensington, 85 Old Brompton Road, London SW7 3LD. Tel: 020 7930 6074. Fax: 020 7752 3321.

Alternatively, you may view the entire catalogue on the web at www.christies.com.
