Dogs Trust want to say a big thank-you to Matt Davies, lead
singer of up and coming Welsh rock band Funeral For a Friend,
for recently rehoming a puppy from Dogs Trust Bridgend Rehoming
Centre.
Matt, a keen animal lover, decided to rehome the puppy after
he saw press reports about five tiny pups who were born at
the Rehoming Centre in January 2004.
Staff at Dogs Trust Bridgend had named the puppies Matt, Ryan,
Gareth, Kris and Darren as a tribute to Funeral For a Friend
who are doing so well in the charts. Matt Davies is also something
of a local hero being from Bridgend!
Matt’s Mum, Kay Davies, explains: "One day he said
to me ‘Let’s go down to the trust and see if we
can rescue a dog’. Then he saw the press reports about
the puppies and we thought it’s just something that’s
meant to be."
Matt renamed his namesake puppy, Bill.
There are many benefits to the owner when choosing a new dog
from a Dogs Trust Rehoming Centre. Dogs will be neutered,
microchipped, vaccinated and come complete with six weeks
free insurance with Pet Plan. Dogs Trust will also provide
any advice the owner might require when the dogs have been
rehomed.
If you are interested in providing a dog with a new home please
