Obituary - Mrs Maureen Cunningham

Mrs Maureen Cunningham
22.3.1947 - 8.3.2004

Older members of the Rhodesian Ridgeback fraternity will remember Mo, who died in hospital in the early hours of Monday 8th March.

Mo married Tony in 1976, and their association with Ridgebacks started in the early 1980s with Kinza bloodlines, when they both regularly exhibited and enjoyed the showing scene.

There next dog was Faahac Fisk who won them their first c.c. and best of breed winning a further reserve c.c. Then followed a Ridgeback bitch they breed themselves Tshaka Tungatha Tilly who won BIS at the Midlands and Northern R.R. club open show.

Due to health problems Mo and Tony had not attended shows of recent years but their interest in the breed has stayed very loyal. Those of us who had the privilege to know Mo will remember her with regard and respect.

The funeral will take place at 1pm on Wednesday 24th March at St. Mary’s, Knowsley Lane, Knowsley Village, Liverpool. Enquiries and flowers to the Funeral Directors. D. Bannon and Culshaw, The Whitehouse, Broadgreen Road,Liverpool, L13 5SH Tel/no 0151 2282272.

Our thoughts are with Tony, his sons Peter, Anthony and Stephen, and grandchildren Laura and Craig.

Mollie Robinson

IT WAS with much sorrow that we learned of the death of Mollie Robinson (Craiglieth) on Saturday 6th March.

She was prominent in the Cocker world for over fifty years and her stock has been successful in many parts of the world. She had been rushed to hospital a few weeks ago and after making progress was looking forward to going home in the next day or two; sadly, that was not to be.

To her husband, Len, who has supported her through nearly 60 years of marriage, and to Ian and Gail we send sincerest sympathies.
