WAG will be holding its first Annual General Meeting on Thursday 18 March 2004 at 7.30 pm within the Morton Halls, Newmilns, writes Ken McKie.

We are delighted that Christine Graham, MSP, Margaret Jamieson, MSP, Libby Anderson- Parliamentary Officer for the SSPCA will be attending at the meeting. At the end of the meeting we are hoping that Christine Graham, Margaret Jamieson and Libby Anderson will give a brief outline of the proposed Movement of Puppies Bill that is due to be issued for consultation.

Given recent events this piece of legislation has to have our full support. The only effective way we can end the suffering to puppies will be by an effective, sustainable and enforceable piece of legislation that we hope this will be.

We would invite our members, interested parties and any press that may wish to attend.
