This wonderful venue for this prestige event is to be admired for several reasons. An excellent outdoor area that is used for summer shows, with its lovely green lawns, and ample parking around the rings. indoors the large hall, closely carpeted in blue, was enhanced by the jersey Kennel Club’s own white fencing and Trophy stand. The huge ring allowed all competitors to get moving, and to be assessed from all angles.
The handlers got the very best from their charges, who were all presented in super clean condition. The actual competition was divided into Puppy, Adult, Veteran and Brace. The well supported event was not the end of the day, for later on a really good number attended the Dinner and Presentations at a local hotel. Having been busy earlier on, it was a pleasing opportunity to congratulate the Club, its hard working organisers, and the many supporters who gave me a super day. The food was good, the raffle so well supported with a huge number of quality prizes, and it seemed that all had a good time, far as I made my way to bed, some were still chatting away at past midnight! Thank you Jersey, and your President Brian Cummins and Secretary Stephen Edwards.
The Veteran of the Year line-up, in first place the 101/2 yr old Afghan Kazaba Annika at Elangeni, with reserve to the Siberian Husky L. Misty Charmer
