College Students Take Up The Get Fit Challenge

STUDENTS at an Essex College have taken up the Supa Dog Get Fit Challenge, launched as a great initiative to support MacMillan Cancer Relief.

The challenge is a Walking for Fun activity which aims to help you, your dog, and family or friends get fit whilst raising funds for a very worthwhile cause.

The students, from Writtle College, are currently studying for a National Certificate in Animal Care saw the launch of the challenge at the Burgess Supa Dog Stand at Crufts.

Based in Chelmsford, Essex, the college has an intake of around 200 students, many of whom will be taking part in the challenge.

All the money raised from the challenge will help MacMillan Cancer Relief to provide the expert care and practical and emotional support which is changing the lives of people today living with cancer today.

Said Course leader Katie Farr: “We are very excited about the challenge. It will be a great day for us and the students, not only will it help us keep fit but it will also help those suffering with cancer.”

Burgess Supa Dog hopes to help improve the nations fitness in this easy to take part in challenge which will also increase the awareness of the health benefits of owning a dog.

The Challenge is running until November 30 th, 2004. You can decide on how long you want your challenge to last, as long as it falls before this date.

With over 5 million dog owning households and 6 million dogs across the UK, there are plenty of our ‘favourite friends’ to walk and have fun with at the same time.

Burgess Supa Dog are also offering a prize to the person who raises the most money. The prizes includes a weekend break for 2 people and their dog, plus a year’s supply of Burgess Supa Dog® (the variety of your choice), walking boots or trainers, and a walking coat.

If you choose to form a club to raise the money, the club with the most money raised will win a trophy and vouchers for £500 worth of Supa Dog.
