Pharaoh Hounds stolen

Three Pharaoh Hounds, including two veteran champions, were stolen from a house near Southport Lancashire on April 30 2004.  The hounds, all entire males are:

Ch. Tamilay King of the Romanies (Romany) 12 years old.  Romany won his first RCC as a puppy in 1993 and continued to be very successful in the ring, taking his last CC at the age of 10 at WELKS 2002.  It is thought that Romany is the oldest Pharaoh Hound to win a CC in the UK. He was joint top Pharaoh Hound dog in 2000. Romany is now very grey, especially in the face, although he now has grey flecking throughout.

Ch. Ezhar Sir Henry of Ardvreck (Henry) 10 years old.  Henry is onr of the famous AI litter bred by Shiela Simm.  He is one of 4 Champion litter mates with another litter mate also winning a CC.  Henry has a slightly longer coat than that usually seen in the breed today.  He is also slightly arthritic in the shoulder and may yelp if patted in that region.

Ezhar Russian Hero (Hero) is only 18 months old and has already won a RCC from Puppy.  His dam, Ch. Surrannon Summer Solstice for Ankors, is the only Pharaoh Hound to have won BIS at a general championship show and his sire Ch. Ezhar the Colonel has been the top sire in the breed on several ocassions.

A reward is offered for any information leading to their safe return.  Anyone with information may contact Nigel Blackstock on 01704 231847 or ardvreck.pharaohs@virgin.net.
