TV vet Matt Brash launches the Supa Dog Get Fit Challenge

TV Vet Matt Brash and his team at the Battle Flatts Veterinary Surgery have taken up the Supa Dog Get Fit Challenge, launched as a great initiative to support MacMillan Cancer Relief.

The challenge is a Walking for Fun activity which aims to help you, your dog, and family or friends get fit whilst raising funds for a very worthwhile cause.

Matt and his team at the surgeries, in Pocklington, Stamford Bridge, and Strensall, York will be out in force on Sunday, June 20 to walk as many miles as they can, and will finish the day with a barbecue.

Matt Brash took time out from recording Zoo Vet, to launch the Supa Dog Get Fit Challenge at Crufts.

Well known for his expertise with exotics and companion animals, in Zoo Vet Matt, visits zoo’s to help keep their animals fit and well.

Said Matt: "I am really looking forward to the challenge. Everyone at the practice is taking part and we are hoping to play our part in the fundraiser.

"The Supa Dog Get Fit Challenge is a great way to encourage everyone to take more exercise, go for a daily walk, with your dog, and help them get fit as well.

"It is also a great way of having fun whilst raising money for people living with cancer today."

All the money raised from the challenge will help MacMillan Cancer Relief to provide the expert care and practical and emotional support which is changing the lives of people today living with cancer today.

Burgess Supa Dog hopes to help improve the nations fitness in this easy to take part in challenge which will also increase the awareness of the health benefits of owning a dog.

The Challenge is running until November 30th,. You can decide on how long you want your challenge to last, as long as it falls before this date.

With over 5 million dog owning households and 6 million dogs across the UK, there are plenty of our ‘favourite friends’ to walk and have fun with at the same time.
