This signed Arthur Wardle oil painting of Gordon Setters realised £45,410 at last week’s Christie’s Sporting Art Sale held in London. At the sale, which featured some quality works by various artists, a world record figure of £397,250 was achieved for the John Emms painting ‘Hours of Idleness’ showing Hounds and a Terrier in a hunt kennel.
