First meeting of the National Shiba Association

THE INAUGURAL meeting of the newly formed National Shiba Association (proposed) was held at Eggborough, Yorkshire, on 9th October.

The purpose of the meeting was to offer all owners, breeders and breed fanciers of the Japanese Shiba Inu the opportunity to form a second breed club.

A good cross-section of Japanese Shiba Inu owners and breeders etc attended, including three members of the committee of the Japanese Shiba Inu Club of Great Britain, and discussion took place to establish the need for a second breed club.

Mrs Irene Rushfirth was elected as Acting Secretary, and Mrs Susan Jackson was elected as Acting Treasurer. Any enquiries regarding the new club should be made to Mrs Rushfirth on 0133 253 9635.
