Discover Dogs: Record crowds flock to Discover Dogs 2004

A record-breaking crowd enjoyed the ninth annual Discover Dogs exhibition at Earl’s Court 2 in London over the weekend. A best-ever attendance of 22,732 flocked to the show, an increase of almost 2,000 on last year.

The bumper crowd was treated to a diverse display of canine talent, from the fabulous tricks performed in the Companion Dog Club Competition to the show ring stars of tomorrow who competed for the ten places in the final of the Kennel Gazette Junior Warrant Winner of the Year Competition, which will take place at Crufts at the NEC, Birmingham from 10 – 13 March 2005.

Caroline Kisko, Kennel Club Secretary, commented: ‘The feedback that we have received from across the world of dogdom has been extremely positive. We are absolutely delighted with this year’s event and would like to thank everyone who made it possible, in particular the breed booth holders who give such valuable time and commitment to the show.

‘We really believe that the wonderful crowds who came along and enjoyed the show has strengthened Discover Dogs’ claim to be London’s leading canine event and, as we now look forward to our tenth year, it is firmly established in the canine calendar.’

The Kennel Club looks forward to next year’s Discover Dogs which will take place at Earls Court 2, London on the 12th and 13th November 2005.
