The gundog group judge at Bournemouth Mrs marjorie Satterthwaite (Lawnwoods), whose judging caused concern among officials and exhibitors alike, has retired from judging.

The announcement came last week in a letter to the Kennel Club ahead of a meeting of the Judges’ Sub Committee which met on Wednesday of this week to discuss the matter on its latest agenda.

Several exhibitors had complained that Mrs Satterthwaite, 78, had ignored their dogs on the move and the organisers complaints after the gundog group judging on the Sunday of the show.
