SCCA update

SOUTHERN COUNTIES entries close on April 19th and as always entry to the show and car parking for exhibitors and those travelling with them is free so the £18 entry fee is exceptional value for money. Caravans are also welcome and again, there is no increase in fees in 2005.

Entries can be made ‘on line’ with no extra charge and it is very easy for anyone with access to the Internet. Not only does it save postage costs it also ensures that exhibitors have an immediate confirmation of their entry. Just go to www.dog.biz, register and click on Southern Counties. Once you have registered you will be able to enter shows much more quickly as all your details and those of your dogs are retained on the secure server, you do not have to enter everything again next time.

The show will also be a Mecca for Juniors. As well as the usual formal classes for the Young Kennel Club and Good Citizen tests, the YKC is holding a rally over the three days. Donelda Guy, the Eurodogshow Heelwork to Music champion will be holding introductory classes on the Friday and UK Handlers will be holding their annual Handling competitions on the Saturday and Sunday with the usual Dinner and Dance on the Saturday night. You can get full details from the schedule at www.dog.biz. If you have time there is also a Companion Dogs Show on all three days!

Full details of classes and an entry form appear in our 1st April edition so you do not need to send for a schedule. If you would like a schedule and entry form they can be downloaded from www.dog.biz or you can order one by e-mailing scca@angelacavill.co.uk. But don’t forget that if you can e-mail you can just as easily enter ‘on-line at www.dog.biz

Changes of judge: Mr Firmin Aetgeerts has to go into hospital for an operation so will not be able to judge Belgian Shepherd Dogs. His replacement is Sue Marsden. Miss J Yeoward has had complications after breaking her ankle. Her replacement will be Mrs Judy Oriani

Where there are two judges for a breed the Veterans will be judged separately after the Open Class. In all other breeds please note that the Veteran Dog or Bitch class will be judged immediately after Open Dog.
