‘At Home’ exhibition huge success

The weekend of 26-28th November saw a record number of people attending the annual ‘At Home’ exhibition of art by noted canine artist and well known judge Stuart Mallard.

Fifty four original paintings were on show covering a variety of subjects including Wildlife, Life, Landscapes and of course, Dogs! Apart from the items available to buy some recent private commissions were kindly loaned back to enable a wider audience to enjoy them also. The full range of prints had been displayed in a variety of frames to suit most interiors and demonstrate how different paintings can look when a little more consideration is given to presentation.

Many comments in the Guest Book affirmed the quality of the work and indeed the popularity of this annual event. A Just for Fun ballot had been introduced this year – visitors were invited to vote for their favourite original on show. Some of course could not decide on just one and placed four! (must have been a few judges amongst them!). The first four were close and all were oils on canvas painted in a more classic style.

If you were unlucky not to be able to visit this year try to remember the last weekend in November 2006!

In the meantime a selection of his work has been reproduced as Limited Edition Prints by "Simply Fine" Art and can be seen on page 32 of OUR DOGS 2 (one or two originals might still be available) or much, much more by also visiting www.mallardart.com
