The Crufts Office have issued a press release confirming the position concerning boxes /cages/crates etc on benches at the 2006 Show. In particular it wishes to confirm that there is absolutely no intention at Crufts 2006, to alter the way that regulations have been applied in the past - regarding either the nature or the covering of cages/crates/boxes/receptacles for dogs.
The press release states that ‘Size is a different matter and Regulation 9 as stated in the 2006 Schedule, elaborates on benching sizes and includes a requirement that if cages/receptacles do not fit on the bench they should be folded and placed under the bench. No cages /receptacles are to be permitted to block gangways.
‘The Kennel Club and Crufts consider that this is in best interests of the safety of exhibitors, their dogs and the general public.’
