Trader injured in M-way smash

A WELL-KNOWN trade stand holder was injured in a motorway accident during the early hours of Monday morning as he travelled home from the South Wales Championship Show.

Gordon Urquhart, who manages Hub International dog grooming services with his wife Cathy, is a well-known and respected figure on the dog show circuit. The couple also exhibit Papillons under the Blackpark affix.

Although details are vague at present, it seems that Mr Urquhart was driving home from South Wales to his home in Henley-Upon-Thames, Berkshire when his car was involved in an accident between Junct 24 And 25 of the M5 motorway in Somerset, causing Mr Urquhart to sustain injuries to his face and spine. It is not known whether another vehicle was involved.

Mr Urquhart was taken to hospital in Taunton and was due to have his injuries further assessed late on Monday. Mrs Urquhart was due to travel down to Taunton to be with her husband on Monday afternoon.

OUR DOGS send our best wishes to Gordon for a speedy recovery.
