A local RSPCA Animal Centre is looking for a new home in the Leeds or Wakefield areas.
The Leeds, Wakefield & District Branch of the RSPCA recently sold its old premises on the outskirts of Leeds city centre. Now it’s looking for a 1.6 hectare (4 acre) site to accommodate boarding kennels for around 150 dogs and cats as well as quarantine, exercise and treatment facilities.
Property agent Allsop & Co sold the RSPCA’s old premises and is now helping the charity in the search for a new Animal Centre. Says Stewart Brown of Allsop & Co:
"This is quite an unusual instruction for us – we normally advise on large commercial and residential property developments. Ideally, we are looking for existing boarding kennels which could be extended or refurbished. However, we’re also looking at the possibility of building new premises from scratch."
While the search continues, the Leeds & Wakefield District Animal Centre is being temporarily housed at My Pet Stop in Tingley, Leeds.
All enquiries should be addressed to Allsop & Co on 0113 236 6677.
