KC International Agility Festival

The Kennel Club would like to remind agility competitors that the Kennel Club International Agility Festival will be taking place at the East of England Showground in Peterborough on 13th - 14th August 2005. This new event in the Kennel Club calendar is open to all levels of dogs from Elementary to Advanced.

Applications for the Starter Cup and Novice Cup competitions need to reach the Kennel Club before 21st June 2005, and application forms and further details can be found on the Kennel Club website at www.the-kennel-club.org.uk. The closing date for entries in all other competitions is 12th July 2005 and schedules can be downloaded from the website or from the Kennel Club on 020 7518 1013.

Said Tony Griffin, Show Manager for the International Agility Festival: "The Kennel Club recognises that agility is the fastest growing sport in the canine world and is looking forward to welcoming competitors of all standards from all around the world to the Festival, making it a truly international event. Anyone who has not yet entered is asked to do so as soon as possible to guarantee their involvement in this exciting new competition."

Arden Grange will be the principle sponsor for the International Agility Festival. Arden Grange has kindly donated bags of dog food as prizes in the finals, and is sponsoring the polo shirts that will be given to volunteers working at the event. The Kennel Club will also be awarding trophies from first to third in all classes, regardless of the number of entries.

Said Victoria Hudson, Marketing Manager for Arden Grange: "Arden Grange is looking forward to being involved in what promises to be a great weekend. As well as providing pet food worthy of the winners at the event, our staff will be on hand to offer nutritional advice to any members of the public who require information on how to help turn their pets into the agility champions of tomorrow."
