It is with deep regret that we record the death of Peter Keene, a former Chairman of the Christchurch and New Forest Canine Society, who died on 8th October 2005.
Peter was a member of the Society for several years before joining the Committee in 1978. He became Treasurer in 1980 and on retiring from this position in 1985 he was elected Chairman, a position he held until his retirement due to ill-health in 2000.
Peter was an excellent Chairman and took a very active part in organising the Society’s shows and events.
Peter and his wife Elsie bred and exhibited Shetland Sheepdogs, their affix being Glenslade. He was always ready to help and advise a newcomer to the world of dog showing.
Peter had a great sense of humour and will be missed by his many friends. We send our sympathy to his family.
Vice-chairman, Christchurch and New Forest CS
