A man and his dog have been rescued after they fell over cliffs in south Devon last Thursday night.

It is believed that Mollie was trying to chase a fox over the edge, and when her owner went to fetch her, he ended up even further down the cliff.

They were rescued by the Exmouth coastguard rescue team with help from the Sidmouth unit, at about midnight.

Neither suffered serious injury in the incident which happened at Littleham Beach near Exmouth.
